Where do I start with this fuckery right here? Ok so after a nice and long debate with @CristalBubblin yesterday we wound up getting the facts straight.

After a preliminary trial a LA judge has decided that rapper Nas (Nasir Jones) must pay ex-wife and mother of his child Kelis (Kelis Rogers) 30k in alimony, 9,000+K in child support and HER lawyer fees of 45K. Now lets add that shit up.

Let's not forget the 30K prenatal care.

In one month this man has to come up off $164,000 dollars. I don't care who you are that shit hurts, the problem is this shit keeps happening. Now yes I understand that there are reasons that marriages dissolve. In some cases the woman was with the guy before he blew up. There's alot of stuff that can't be justified though.

Let me back track a minute to show my point first. Nas wanted to give a 20K check once before the courts made a final determination on the amounts. That seems fair right? Apparantly not in this judges eyes. He decides that Kelis can't afford to continue living the life they had together with that. Now first off Nas didn't meet Kelis in some fuckin Mickey D's. She was already in the industry when they hooked up. So why can't she afford to live the life anymore? Next is the fact that she had a child. Isn't your life suppose to change automatically once you have a seed?

Edit: Ok I started this like 2 weeks ago but never finished so let's wrap it up.

End of the day Nas is getting fucked royally but as Bubbz stated he's not upset so why should I be? I just think it's unfair how much this part of the egal system favors the woman and it really does need to be altered. Hope the next guy tastes some of the cream before he sticks his straw in that milkshake. smh.
